University of Arizona Senior Design Project
The University of Arizona’s engineering program concludes the 4 years with a Senior Design project. Teams of 5-6 interdisciplinary engineers work with an industry sponsor over the course of a year to complete a project for them.
I was personally selected by the Microsoft sponsor to Project Manage my senior design team. We were tasked to build a vessel that held server components submerged in Fluorinert for testing high-efficiency two-phase immersion cooling servers.
We completed the full development cycle: prototyping, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and designing and assembling the tank. Our team then showcased the finished prototype at the college's annual Design Day, presenting to hundreds of visitors and showing off our work.
As our team lead and systems engineer, I oversaw the project roadmap, system development, testing and verification, fundraising, and technical documentation.
